Lungela. Sounds different right? That’s because we are different. And we’re bringing a new approach to the emergency management industry.
Based in Lisarow, we are placed perfectly to service any Central Coast area.
Feel free to have a read about everything we do below. We have also included some buttons on this page that will take you straight to some of our "how it works" videos. On top of this we have given you access to our training demonstration video, which will show you examples from some of our V-Learning sessions.
Whilst do it yourself is promoted, please remember that we can do everything that other emergency management providers do, including face to face consulting and delivery. Having local knowledge, and a local attitude, we are prepared to offer local pricing to assist our community, especially in recovering from the Covid-19 economic fallout.

V-Learning Demonstration (Exclusive to Big Backyard Virtual Trade Expo)
This takes you to our training demonstration videos, where you will find two videos, the first is about five minutes on how the V-Learning works, and the second has examples from our actual V-Learning sessions (this one is about eleven minutes, but you don't have to watch the whole session, unless you are really enjoying it....).
EMRP (Emergency Manuals)
This takes you to our video on how our emergency management plans work, we have a do it yourself option that cuts the cost of creating a compliant emergency manual for any premise.
DYI Diagrams
This takes you to a video that explains how our do it yourself evacuation diagrams work. Remember, we can do all this for you, but it is quicker and cheaper to do the training we provide, and submit your own mark up, which we then make into a compliant diagram for you.

Don’t get us wrong, it’s not that we are new to this. Not at all! Rather, it’s through our more than 50 years’ collective experience in compliance and emergency management, that we have learned the challenges and annoyances felt by organisations when it comes to fulfilling their obligations under the Australian Standards, Acts and Regulations. We’ve also seen what works!
We know the pain of scheduling, time away from critical business functions, same old boring fire training with no consistency of trainers, giving no local insight into how the principles apply. It’s these learnings that have driven us to develop total emergency management solutions with you, the client, front of mind. We’re making it easier, cheaper and better.

With over 50 years collective experience in the emergency services, risk & resilience, loss prevention and emergency management consultation, we’ve seen what works and we’ve seen what irks.
We are proudly revolutionising how emergency management is delivered. Offering a brand-new concept to the space – Self-serve D.I.Y. (or Do It Yourself). With Lungela, you decide your level of engagement. All our training and documentation products are available for self-purchase and self-completion, together with instructional videos and everything you need to know from us, so we can create your evacuation diagrams and emergency management response plans (EMRP) without delay.
Of course, we recognise that DIY isn’t for everyone. For those clients that feel they need, or simply prefer, a more engaged, personal approach to facilitate compliance and ability on their sites, we are pleased to mix and match the amount of DIY to suit. No matter what though, our client is always at the centre of our actions. We don't dictate our agenda. Rather, we work with you to understand your needs, wants and even your in-house lingo. When we partner with our clients, we consider ourselves part of their organisation. Often even finding ourselves saying "we" instead of "you".

At Lungela, our client is at the centre of everything we do. We recognise that they are time poor. We recognise the hassles of scheduling, we recognise the time away from critical business function that training and exercising represents. Maybe most importantly, we recognise that in a lot of cases, our clients know what they need and don’t want to have to wait weeks or more until their provider can fit them in. This is where we come in…
V-Learning
It’s short for Lungela’s suite of online video training courses. Our courses cover everything the EPC, ECO, staff/occupants and leadership teams need to know to effectively respond to an emergency.
Put simply – Everything to make a site compliant to emergency management training obligations. DIY – but with all the support and everything you need provided. Purchase an individual session to brush up on a particular area, or purchase a recommended pack to make sure your teams have all the required knowledge to handle their roles and responsibilities in an emergency.
V-Learning enables participants to undertake training without the classroom attendance. Designed in line with micro learning outcomes to maximise engagement and retention. Our longest session is only 30 minutes! And they can be done anywhere, any time, on any device.
Need An Exercise?
We’ve got you covered. We’ve even got a DIY for you to perform annual (or more often as required) practical evacuation or lockdown exercises (drills). We’ll provide the scenario, the briefing instructions, observation checklists and expected learning outcomes so you can see how you did.
Not Confident to run your own?
We love an exercise!! Have your teams complete their V-Learning packs, and then arrange for us to come on site for a workshop to apply the learnings, or scenario based practical exercise run by us. Following the trend of so much adult learning courses today, do the theory first so when we’re with you on site, we can focus on the practical application of it.
Evacuation Diagrams
Our escape artists are the best in the biz. We guarantee compliant and attractive evacuation diagrams for any premise. There’s two ways we do diagrams:

Option 2 is pretty self-explanatory. Contact us, we’ll ask for floorplans and site maps so we can provide a quote. On acceptance, we’ll come to site to perform a mark-up, and soon afterward deliver the finished diagrams in PDF to your inbox.
To save even more time and money, our DIY option is a game changer in the industry. Simply visit our site www.lungela.com.au, select the number of base plates and diagrams you require, add to cart and make your purchase. Oh and don’t worry, we’ll simply and clearly guide you with what you’ll require.
From there, you’ll receive a diagram pack with instructions and video on how to do a mark-up. Submit the mark-up directly to our inbox, and receive your completed diagrams.
Of course like all things Lungela, we’re always just a call or email away to assist. You can even mix and match between DIY and full service to what works for you.
Emergency Management Response Plans
Most commonly referred to as “The Manual”, Lungela make it easier, cheaper and better to receive a comprehensive & compliant, detailed Emergency Management Response Plan.
Either purchase online or contact us to provide a proposal. From there, we’ll send you a link for you to provide us all the info we need for your document. Complete with pictures and examples to make it really easy. Even for the most novice of us. Depending on the site of course, it usually takes as little as 10 minutes to complete!
Once completed, just click “submit”. We then use this information to create your Emergency Management Response Plan and send back the completed document ready to print, or keep on-line.
Of course, we’re always just a click away to answer any questions that pop up.

We recognise that not every client and not every site suits DIY and online learning. Some require, and some just feel more comfortable with a one on one tailored solution. We got you covered….
At Lungela, when we say consulting, we truly mean consulting. Our consultants are legends at their craft, but just as importantly, are passionate about partnering with you to create and manage your total emergency management program. We ensure compliance to all relevant Standards, Acts and Regulations, as well as best practices learned from our more than 50 years’ collective experience, to ensure plans work, and your people know exactly what to do.
Lungela consulting is not an “off the shelf” plan or training program. It’s about working closely with you to understand where you’re at, where you’d like to be, and then map out the journey we’ll take together to get there.
Your matched consultant, is with you right through to completion of the scoped project. They will know your site/s, your processes, your people, your particularities and even your in-house language.
They will coordinate and manage all of your required Lungela services. From evacuation diagrams, custom Emergency Management Response Plans (EMRP's), specialised training content and scenario exercises designed to test specific elements of your emergency plans.
